Brazil is the leading advertising market in Latin America, and one of the largest in the world. One of the top advertising agencies operating in this important market, Neogama, was founded in 1999 by Alexandre Gama, who serves as its CEO and CCO.
Alexandre Gama obtained a degree in Advertising and Communications from FAAP (Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation), one of the most important and respected academic institutions in Brazil, and began his advertising career in 1982 as a copywriter at Standard Ogilvy and Mather. Later, after several incredibly successful stints at DM9, then BBDO and Young & Rubicam, he left to start Neogama, his own agency.
Alexandre Gama has gone from strength to strength ever since. He was the first Latin American to present a Master Class at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008, and in 2012 he became a board member of the Brazilian Association of Advertising Agencies.
Alexandre Gama has not only been active in the communications and advertising fields, but has also had involvement in the music and art scenes in Brazil, launching a guitar instrumental project and showing his work at the Brazilian Art Museum in an applied art exhibition that earned critical acclaim.
