Doomfist officially comes to Overwatch at end of July

Doomfist has long been one of the more popular villains in the Overwatch universe. For those who are huge fans of the game and have spent days, weeks and months looking into the lore that surrounds the villain is among the most interesting the most loved. That love is going to explode when the character finally becomes a part of the game at the end of July.

Doomfist has been one of those characters that has long been a rumor but will officially be coming to the game before the calendar turns to August. Once the character goes live, it will be going live for every platform you can play the game on. That means Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Playstation Lifestyle recently gave a little back story into where the character came from and what its motivation is now that it’s here. “Recently freed from imprisonment, Doomfist is determined to plunge the world into a new conflict that he believes will make humanity stronger.”

The lore behind Overwatch the game, is one where there was a great war that required a number of either super powered or super outfitted heroes to finally end the conflict. While the war is over, there are still some who fought on the other side running around the game world. Doomfist is one of the big bads that might see some of the other villains that are rolling around the lore that is in Overwatch.

Some of the characters have quite the personality thanks to the voice actors that are behind them. Famed actor Terry Crews had been one who was favored to voice Doomfist after rumors of the villain landing in the game hit the Internet. While he ended up not getting the part he said he is still “friends” with Blizzard and might even get a part down the road.
