Today, people look to places like China for the latest in a number of technological advances in many areas. One of the areas is transportation. Wouldn’t it be great, if a bus acted more like a high speed train? Certainly, this would be great during a rush hour in a large metropolitan city. Rush hour traffic is a nightmare in large cities. A fast moving bus would ease the traffic considerably. Recently, a new vehicle developed by China’s CRRC Corporation, was released. The new trackless electric train does not require tracks to run, but operates on virtual tracks, like a bus.
The New Trackless Train
Is this a new advanced version of a city bus or a truly trackless train? Let’s look at a few of the statistics that are associated with this new vehicle produced by China’s CRRC Corporation. The trackless train is called the Autonomous Rail Rapid Transit System. The ART travels at a speed of about 43 miles per hour through the country’s busy streets. In addition, the vehicle is able to hold about 300 passengers. Currently, the new mode of transportation is going through a testing phase in Zhuzhou in the Hunan Province. The interior of the vehicle looks very modern and sleek, sporting a white interior with red floors, and large picturesque windows. The exterior sports a very modern design too. Actually, it looks like the popular trams seen at some popular beach resorts.
Is There A Need For A Trackless Electric Train
Large cities are always in need of more transportation to get commuters from point A to point B. The new trackless electric train AKA bus, is simply a new more modern vehicle that the Chinese find less costly and more practical than other modes of transportation that is currently used in urban areas. During the testing phase, they are probably going to take a closer look at the vehicle and promote the assumed advantages. Hopefully, the advantages will outweigh the disadvantages.
