Dondero recently told the press his company donated more than $5 million to the Bush Center over the last six years. And at the beginning of 2018, Highland Capital set up a $10 million endowment program to sustain the Bush Center’s public program series. Dondero said the series “Engage at the Bush Center presented by Highland Capital Management” will bring leaders, newsmakers, and authors to the center for discussions and lectures in 2018. That event was a two-part program that included Justice Antonin Scalia’s memorable speeches and the program “James Madison & Today’s Media.”

The Antonin Scalia part of the program started with a conversation with Scalia’s son, Christopher Scalia. Christopher is the author of Scalia Speaks: Reflections on Law, Faith, and Life Well Lived.  The book highlights some of Scalia’s favorite speeches. The second part of the program featured a group of experts discussing today’s media influence, and what James Madison, the author of the First Amendment, would think of the media’s performance in this century. The Engage Series is a popular attraction at the Bush Center. Most of the program attract standing room only crowds. Read more about James Dondero at Daily Forex Report.
