The beauty industry is a lot like chicken. We all used to grab our chicken from the shelf of whatever local grocery store was closest. However, as the years went on and we became more educated about trends, many of us are doing deeper shopping. We want to buy from brands whose philosophy resonates with us and that’s why we are choosing more organic products, free-range chicken and regional produce where we can put a name and a face on the product.
What does this have to do with the beauty industry? Well, have you ever looked up the ingredients in a lipstick? I have and that is why I have become totally, 100% a follower of this incredible company. The company offers a wide line of beauty products, including lipsticks, fun eyeshadow palettes, highlighters and a variety of other beauty tools, and their company values are at the forefront of everything they do.
Lime Crime has been around since the early 2002’s, but recently their user-focused, social media surge has generated a cult-like following of people that are as loyal to the brand as the day is long. I must admit I am one of those followers.
Lime Crime prides itself on being a fully Vegan company, products use nothing that isn’t certified Vegan and it has been approved as cruelty-free by both PETA and the Leaping Bunny Program. That means that its products are incredibly rich and provide amazing, lasting color while not tested on a single animal. That fact is incredible! When I make a purchase, I want to know that my purchase has gone towards something I can feel proud to stand behind and that is what I’ve found with my new favorite cosmetics brand.
Founded by Doe Deere, a lover of bright colors and makeup that pushes the edge between trendy and rebellious, her passion for being animal-friendly stems down into every lipstick or palette that is created.
Although I must admit that the values of the company first attracted me to purchase the products, the reasonable prices and the value of the products has kept me coming back time and time again. The follower base of Lime Crime has bee called cult-like and, I must admit, I’m happy to join such a worthy cult of powerful makeup champions.
Since Lime Crime debuted in all of its Day-Glo glory in 2008, no makeup company has been able to top them in terms of sheer color power. While trends of the last few years err towards subtle nudes and matte palettes, Lime Crime sets itself apart with neon lipsticks, opalescent powders, and shimmering metallic shadows. But nothing can top their latest foray into bright makeup trends–Unicorn Hair.
From DIY beauty bloggers to high-fashion writers, the makeup-savvy cannot stop talking about Lime Crime’s Unicorn Hair. It’s offered in full-dye colors for all-over wild hair and tints for just a hint, complete with names like Chocolate Cherry and Bunny. Color lasts through several weeks’ worth of washes and a single jar won’t break the bank.
True to the company’s core values, this glitzy product is completely vegan and cruelty-free. Lime Crime’s founder, Doe Deere, decided to start the business on the basis of her love for animals and nature. All products, including Unicorn Hair, are certified by both PETA and The Leaping Bunny Program. And unlike other competing hair dyes, Unicorn Hair is also free of ammonia and bleach. Fans know that this product was three years in the making, turning it into one of the most anticipated makeup releases of 2017.
One of the most popular colors of Unicorn Hair among fashionistas is Gargoyle–a steely, dark hue that finishes like smooth granite. This color blends well with other colors for a mystical, smoky look that all the bloggers are trying out. The combination of the grey and silver hair trend and the ubiquitous unicorn craze is making Gargoyle fly off the shelves of online retailers.
The spring 2017 unicorn trend of purple coffee drinks and body glitter might fade into obscurity when something else comes along, but Lime Crime’s Unicorn Hair is here to stay. No other company offers a product as versatile, unique, and quality-tested than Lime Crime. With 13 colors and positive reviews, this dye’s popularity is only increasing.
It Should Never Be A Crime To Be Beautiful.
Makeup has come a long way over time, there are now things like Beauty Sponges, Liquid Lipsticks and even cream products. There are so many different brands out there that sometimes it can be very hard to choose. Cosmetics are meant to make people feel beautiful in general and to help to accent the beauty that one is born with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on a brand, and each brand produces different types of products. If someone were to ask me I would have to say that one of my most Absolute favorite makeup brands would have to be Lime Crime.
Cosmetics in my opinion are not meant to hide imperfections, but to instead embrace them. There is no such thing as an imperfection, because everything that may be different makes us uniquely different and allows us to stand out as the beautiful people we are. Makeup is about more than just applying a bunch of products to your face, makeup is about living through the freedom of expression, not being afraid to step outside of the box and be creative, and if it is a passion then it is about allowing one to express true happiness through a different form of art. The brand is completely vegan and 100% cruelty free. To me, the Lime Crime brand is best known for their wild colors of liquid lipsticks.
Lime Crime prioritizes the freedom to be yourself, and was established in 2008 by a makeup artist named Doe Deer. The unique makeup brand was the one who brought liquid lipsticks to light. The lipsticks were the first thing ever to be launched, and now there are a total of five different textures and different types. Since 2008 many other dreamy products have been launched and are now enjoyed by both men and women all around the world. https://www.instagram.com/limecrimemakeup/?hl=en
