The result of these upgrades to the facilities production line has been outstanding. The Toledo facility has doubled its chicken production from 12,000 tons per years to an amazing 24,000 tons per year.
This big news isn’t the only thing to come out of OSI’s operations in the European market. 2016 was a huge year in general for OSI Food Solutions in Europe. The company acquired Baho Food from the Netherlands and Flagship Europe from the United Kingdom. Flagship is a British speciality food supplier of sauces, marinades, pies and numerous other items and OSI Food Solutions has since rebranded the outfit under the name Creative Foods Europe. Baho Food is based in the Netherlands and Germany and has a huge reach across the European continent. both of these companies add great value to OSI’s robust portfolio and will serve the company well in attracting valuable new corporate accounts.
Acquisitions were not the only accomplishments for OSI Food Solutions in Europe during the 2016 calendar years. The company was also awarded the prestigious Globe of Honour from the British Safety Council. To become eligible an organization has to meet the council’s 5-Star rating. OSI Food Solutions is based out of Aurora, Illinois in the Chicago region and the company recently made a huge acquisition in this home area with the purchase of the former home of Tyson Foods. OSI is now operating the former Tyson food processing plant in Chicago which serves as the second facility in the region for the top 100 American food company. Officials from OSI Food Solutions expect that production in the Chicago region will as much as double with the addition of this facility.
