Anyone interested in the latest hair care products has probably heard all about WEN Cleansing Conditioner by Chaz. This product was designed to have five functions in only one bottle. Just a few pumps of WEN should provide everyone with the right amount of shampoo, detangler, deep conditioner, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. One of the main selling points for WEN is that it’s non-abrasive. Chaz Dean, the founder of WEN, believes his product can naturally restore the hair’s natural oils without the use of any inorganic sulfates.
So, what’s in this magical product? Chaz Dean lists his ingredients right on the back label of every WEN bottle. These ingredients include rosemary extract, wild cherry bark, chamomile extract, panthenol, and glycerin. Every one of these ingredients was carefully chosen to promote healthy, natural, and strong hair with every use.
Now that you know a bit about this product, you’re probably wondering if it really works. Well, luckily for you, a reporter on Bustle.com named Emily McClure recently posted her own week long test of WEN. Viewers can take a look at McClure’s before and after photos to see how WEN affected her hair.
McClure noted that WEN recommends using 10-16 pumps of the product for short hair. For long hair, WEN recommends using 24-32 pumps. McClure personally felt these numbers were a bit overboard, and although she has longer hair, she only used 10 pumps each time she took a shower.
On her first day, McClure said she felt her hair felt “thicker” overall. She also said that she believed her hair was more shiny and vibrant than before. However, the next morning McClure felt her hair was a bit greasier than on average. It wasn’t until she took a shower later in the day and applied more WEN that she felt her hair was clean and naturally shiny.

Although McClure was not religious in her application of WEN, she did apply it at least once every day. She noticed that on days when she was unable to put the product in her hair for a morning shower that her hair was greasier than on average. However, she definitely felt that the product worked, as shown in her post-shower selfies. McClure also said she was complimented by friends on how shiny her hair was after using WEN.
All in all, McClure recommends purchasing WEN Cleansing Conditioner for those who want to give their hair a boost. While it might cause a bit of extra hair grease the day after, it certainly helps to make one’s hair shinier and more vibrant after.
